Compliance
£9/mo · included from CoreRFI management with the impact recorded
The architect sat on your question for three weeks and the trades stood about. Whether that’s a claim or a grumble depends on whether anybody wrote the impact down at the time. This module raises numbered RFIs against a job or a tender, tracks urgency, due date, recipient and response, and records the programme impact in days and the cost impact in pounds. Included from Core up.
What the RFI Management module does
- Numbers each RFI automatically and attaches it to a job or a tender.
- Records the recipient as an internal user or an external contact with a name, type and email address.
- Tracks sent date, due date and response date, with the response text held against the RFI.
- Stamps when a reminder was sent and when the RFI was escalated.
- Records programme impact in days and cost impact in pounds against the RFI.
- Carries an urgency and a status, plus attachments.
RFI Management: how it works
What is an RFI in construction?
A formal, numbered question from the contractor to the design team or the client about something the drawings don’t answer. It matters because a late answer holds the job up, and you only get that time back if the question, the date and the consequence were written down when it happened. Reconstruct it later and you’re negotiating, not claiming.
How does Estimark record the consequence of a late RFI?
Two fields on the RFI: programme impact in days, cost impact in pounds. Put those next to the sent date, the due date, the reminder, the escalation and the response, and you’ve got the sequence a delay claim is built from. Nobody has to go digging through a mailbox in March for something that happened in July.

Questions
RFI Management: frequently asked
Which plan includes RFI management?
It’s included from Core up. On a lower plan it’s £9 a month on its own.
Can an RFI be sent to someone outside my company?
Yes. A recipient is either one of your users or an outside contact, recorded by name, type and email address.
Are clients able to see RFIs raised to them?
RFIs addressed to the client can show in the Client Portal. That’s a separate module, included from Core up, or £19 a month on its own on a lower plan.
