£29/mo · included from EnterpriseCash flow forecasting by job, month by month
A forecast per job, built as monthly periods, each holding a forecast income and a forecast cost. You pick the distribution, so the curve can be the S most construction jobs really follow instead of a straight line that lies to you in month four. Included from Enterprise up, or £29 a month on a lower plan.
What the Cash Flow Forecasting module does
- Creates one forecast per job, made up of dated monthly periods.
- Holds a forecast income and a forecast cost figure per period, plus notes.
- Applies a selectable distribution type, so the spend curve can be shaped rather than assumed linear.
- Sits next to payment applications, so the certified figure is what your forecast gets measured against.
Cash Flow Forecasting: how it works
Why do construction cash flows follow an S-curve?
Spend starts slowly while you mobilise, picks up hard through the main works, then tails off through completion and snagging. Plot that cumulatively and you get an S. Forecast the same job on a straight line and you overstate what you need at the start and understate the middle. The middle is where firms run out of money.
What does Estimark forecast against?
Per job, per month, income and cost held apart. Payment applications already record what you applied for and what got certified, and job costing records actual cost against a baseline. So the forecast has something real to be compared with, rather than sitting in a spreadsheet nobody opens again.
NoteYou enter the forecast figures. Estimark won’t generate them from the estimate, and it doesn’t connect to your bank.

Questions
Cash Flow Forecasting: frequently asked
Which plan includes cash flow forecasting?
It’s included from Enterprise up. On a lower plan you can switch it on by itself for £29 a month.
Does Estimark connect to my bank account?
No. It works off figures you enter per job per month, compared against the payment applications and job cost records already in Estimark. There’s no bank feed.
Can I forecast across the whole company rather than one job?
Forecasts are built per job, as monthly periods. Company-level reporting pulls from those job forecasts alongside the invoice and payment application records.
