Capability: Estimark AI
AI that does estimating jobs, not demos
Estimark AI is the working name for the AI already inside Estimark: it drafts a bill of quantities from a plain-English description or an uploaded document, checks a finished quote for scope you have missed, stress-tests how sensitive the margin is to price movement, analyses contracts and tender documents, and answers questions in a side panel that knows which job and quote you are looking at. It runs on AWS Bedrock; your data is not used to train models.
Where the hours actually go
The first draft of every estimate is typing
An hour of transcribing a client email or an architect PDF into line items, before any judgement gets applied.
The missed item is invisible until it costs you
Nobody re-reads a 40-line quote looking for what is not there. Scaffold, skip hire and making good are found on site, unpriced.
Margins are stress-tested by events
You find out the job was sensitive to timber prices when timber moves, not when you priced it.
Answers live in six screens
"What did we quote for the last job like this?" means opening six tabs, or asking someone who is on site.
Capability: how it works
What can Estimark AI actually do today?
Five things, all shipped: generate a draft bill of quantities from a description or document; check a quote for missed scope; run price-sensitivity analysis on an estimate; analyse contract and tender documents; and answer questions in an assistant panel that carries your current job and quote as context.
- Generate from Document sits inside the quote editor. Upload the email, brief or BoQ and you get editable line items back, not a PDF you retype.
- Scope check reads the finished quote and lists what similar jobs priced that yours does not.
- Sensitivity shows which line items move the margin most if prices shift.
- The assistant answers with your data in context: the job, the quote and its line items, rather than generic chat.
NoteEvery output lands as a draft you edit and approve. Nothing AI-generated is sent to a client without a human deciding it should be.
How is AI usage priced?
The monthly allowance counts AI estimates: drafting a bill of quantities from a description or an uploaded document. Solo includes 5 a month, Core 25 and Pro 50; Enterprise is agreed per contract. A cached result is not counted, because it costs nothing to serve. Everything else Estimark AI does is unmetered on every plan.
| Plan | AI estimates / month |
|---|---|
| Solo | 5 |
| Core | 25 |
| Pro | 50 |
| Enterprise | Agreed per contract |
- Fair use gives you half as many again before anything is charged. On Pro that is 50 included and 75 before money is involved.
- Past that, it depends on a setting you control. With automatic top-up on, we charge your card in £5 blocks of credit and draw it down. With it off, AI stops and we email you to say why. Nothing is charged and no estimate is half-produced.
- You can set a monthly spend limit. When it is reached AI stops exactly as it does with top-up off; it does not quietly keep charging.
- Automatic top-up is off until you turn it on, and you can turn it off again at any time in Settings → AI Credits.
Where does the data go?
Requests run on AWS Bedrock under Estimark’s account; prompts and outputs are not used to train foundation models, and your company data is only included in a request when the screen you are on provides it as context.
- The assistant sends the job and quote you are viewing, not your whole database.
- AI usage is metered and visible per company, so an admin can see exactly how much has been used.

Questions
Estimark AI: frequently asked
Does Estimark have AI?
Yes. Estimark AI drafts bills of quantities from descriptions or uploaded documents, checks quotes for missed scope, runs price-sensitivity analysis, analyses contracts and tenders, and answers questions in an assistant panel that knows the job and quote you are viewing. Only the estimates are metered: 5 a month on Solo, 25 on Core and 50 on Pro, with Enterprise agreed per contract, plus a fair-use allowance of half as many again before anything is charged. Everything else is unmetered on every plan.
Is my data used to train AI models?
No. Estimark AI runs on AWS Bedrock, where prompts and outputs are not used to train foundation models. Company data is only included in a request when the screen provides it as context, such as the quote being checked.
Can the AI send anything to my clients?
No. Every AI output is a draft: quote lines you edit, a checklist you review, an analysis you read. Sending anything to a client remains a human action.
